How to: Peacock inspired nails.Step 1: Start off by applying a basecoat and one coat of a french manicure polish.Step 2: Sponge on a sheer light blue polish. I used L’Oreal Paris - French Riviera.Step 3: Create a leaf shape with a golden polish and a detail brush. I used Catrice - Goldfinger for this.Step 4: Cut some loose glitters in small pieces. Step 5: Apply some topcoat to the leaf shape and place the glitter pieces on your nail using your finger or a dotting tool.Step 6: Outline the leaf shape using a golden striper polish (or a regular golden polish and a striping brush).Step 7: Apply a thin coat of a jelly blue glitter polish on the top part of your nail. I used Sally Hansen - Mermaid’s Tale.Step 8: Paint the feathers by using blue and green acrylic paint and a striping brush. Paint the lines half blue, half green.Step 9: Repeat step 7. I placed some of the glitters individually using my dotting tool. Once all your nails are dry, apply your topcoat. Hope you like ‘em :)
